Keep in mind that some facilities' offices may not be staffed on weekends and holidays!

For GPS purposes, many also request an address for the Pine Barrens. With over a million acres, there is no one address, so it's best to pick a park or forest depending on your starting point, and go from there. From the south, Batsto Village in Wharton State Forest is a good choice; From the north, Whitesbog Village in Brendan Byrne State forest is another. Wells Mills County Park is just a few miles from Garden State Parkway exit 69 in the eastern section.
