phone numbers. In an effort to assist visitors to our Pinelands,
here is a somewhat comprehensive directory of municipal, county,
state and federal facilities within the region. Keep in mind that
some facilities' offices may not be staffed on weekends and holidays!
For GPS purposes,
many also request an address for the Pine Barrens. With over a
million acres, there is no one address, so it's best to pick a
park or forest depending
on your starting point, and go from there. From the south, Batsto
Village in Wharton State Forest is a good choice; From
the north, Whitesbog Village
in Brendan Byrne State forest is another. Wells
Mills County Park is just a few miles from Garden State
Parkway exit 69 in the eastern section.
